Our Ad Agency’s 2023 Advertising Resolutions!
Tips From an Ad Agency
Introduction
It’s that time of year again! As we prepare for a new year, it feels like it’s time to take stock of where we are as an industry and what changes might be coming in the next few years. We decided to put together our list of advertising resolutions for 2023. These are some things we think will happen in our industry over the next five years that could change everything about how marketing works. So without further ado…
1. Focus on Voice Assistants and Chatbots
Voice assistants and chatbots will play an increasingly important role in marketing in the next five years. These technologies are growing in popularity as they make shopping and customer service easier and allow advertisers to reach their audiences on a new channel. By integrating voice assistants, you can build a personal relationship with your customers that drives brand loyalty.
REVE Chat says, “In fact, 35% of consumers want more companies to use chatbots to improve their communication strategy and deliver a better experience.”
PLAY has just recently started using this technology on our own website. Have questions about how this is done and how it can benefit your business? Reach out to us today!
2. Exploring The “Age of Experience”
The “Age of Experience” is upon us. The product, or stuff you buy, isn’t enough anymore. People need to feel something when they’re using your product—a sense of delight, discovery, or awe. The question marketers should be asking themselves isn’t: What do we want the customer to experience? The question is: What do our customers want to experience?
Instead of thinking about products and services as things that have value in themselves, start thinking about them as an experience that you provide for someone else. If you can make a consumer happy with your offering (regardless of whether it’s physical or digital), then you’re more likely to get repeat business from customers who are loyal because they feel like they can trust your brand and trust that they will enjoy the same kind of experience over and over again when interacting with your company’s offerings.
Our lead content strategist is increasingly interested in employing this idea in all our messaging across the board.
3. Making Live Streaming Video a Routine Thing
Live streaming video is an excellent way to engage with customers and prospects. It’s easy to set up and can be used in a variety of ways, such as:
- Showcasing products or services
- Answering customer questions
- Promoting events
- Promoting a brand
Using this kind of content is particularly important when doing organic social media and something that we’d like to push even further, as short-form videos will remain incredibly popular going into the new year.
Creating original content can be intimidating, but one tip we have is to reuse topics or content to create multiple videos. Or follow up on user comments or questions in a second video in order to build upon your expertise in your particular industry.
